Cape Car Hire was formed in 1991 due to the need in the market place for a car rental company whose tariff was reasonably priced and who afforded an intensely personal service, aimed towards the South African business traveler and the overseas visitor wishing to keep holiday costs to a minimum.

Owned by Renier and Sharon Richter, Cape Car Hire has grown from a fleet of 10 vehicles to a fleet of 100 vehicles while still retaining that unique style of affordable tariff together with a highly personalized service.

Cape Car Hire today offers a comprehensive range of vehicles in its fleet, ranging from the economic group A to the people movers such as the VW T5 and MERC Vito.

Clients are all individually met and quickly escorted to their waiting vehicle which eliminates the queuing that takes place at traditional rental counters.

Being smaller we are able to offer flexibility towards a client's particular needs and are able to respond quicker and more effectively to any problems.
